AUK Faculty/Sr. Administrator Fellowship at Dartmouth College

The AUK Fellowship at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire supports research at Dartmouth, AUK's partner institution. The Fellowship is intended to support an AUK faculty member or senior administrator in pursuing research at Dartmouth College, and to promote research collaborations between faculty members or senior administrators at the two institutions.  With over five million volumes, Dartmouth's library system is one of the leading academic research libraries in the United States. Dartmouth is also home to the Hopkins Center for the Performing Arts, the Dickey Center for International Understanding, the Institute for Security, Technology, and Society, the Neukom Institute for Computational Science, the Ethics Institute, the Women in Science Project, and numerous other research groups and centers.

The Fellowship is intended for use during the summer in order to accommodate the academic calendars at both AUK and Dartmouth.  The timing of the fellowship coincides with the presence on the Dartmouth campus of student interns from AUK.  Fellows serve as a resource person for AUK’s student interns at Dartmouth, to the extent that the Fellowship overlaps with the period during which interns are in residence.  Interns are normally on the Hanover campus from mid-June to mid-July. Exact dates are determined each year by mutual agreement between Dartmouth and AUK.

Fellows are encouraged to seek collaboration(s) with Dartmouth faculty and/ or administrative staff before applying for the Fellowship.  Guidance can be obtained through the Dartmouth website or by contacting the Dartmouth-AUK Program Office. Collaboration must be coordinated through that office.

The application announcement occurs early in the fall semester for the following summer fellowship, with the application deadline usually in December, and the selected fellow usually announced by the first few weeks of the spring semester.
