Academic Advising Center
The Academic Advising Center (AAC) provides academic support to all currently undeclared students. Programs include academic advising, academic support (tutoring, supplemental instruction and success skills workshops), and retention initiatives. The Director of the Academic Advising Center reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs. In addition to supervising the Center, she follows up on undeclared student cases with faculty advisors, program leads and division heads.
Mission Statement
The Academic Advising Center (AAC) of the American University of Kuwait is dedicated to the academic success of its students. AAC advisors empower students to take an active role in their own education, by guiding them to a deeper understanding of the liberal arts curriculum. The Academic Advising Center provides consistently accurate information, academic support services, and appropriate referrals to all other university resources.

Student advising records with the Academic Advising Center are part of the College records. Advising information is released as necessary for purpose of registration and follow-ups. Student personal records are released only with the expressed written consent of the student. It is the Center's professional and ethical responsibility to respect and consider confidential of all information including academic records/status, family information, health (mental/physical), and all other issues derived from the student. Parents or any other family member must obtain a signed disclosure form from the student to have access to the student's records.
