DIVISION OF COMPUTER ENGINEERING
Position 1:
The American University of Kuwait, Division of Science and Engineering is seeking applicants for a full-time Laboratory Instructor in Computer Engineering. The Instructor responsibilities include the following:
- Technical supervision of the Electric and Electronic Circuits Laboratory.

Preparation and delivery of laboratory courses that include the following topics:
- Electric Circuits
- Electronic Circuits
- Lab instructors might be asked to conduct technical tutorials and/or the teaching of remedial Mathematics courses.
Experience in a range of skills is expected including the following:
- Knowledge in electronics assembly, inspection, testing, and repair.
- Highly familiar with electronic bench instruments (i.e. Oscilloscope, digital multi-meter, logic analyzer, etc.)
- Set-up, calibration, operation, and trouble shooting of precision equipment.
- Electronics soldering and wire harness assembly.
- Electronics and PCB test and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of CAD and EDA tools for schematic capture, schematic analysis, PCB layout, and PCB analysis.
- Working knowledge of MATLAB
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
- Undergraduate Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
- Teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
Position 2:

- Technical supervision of the Hardware Design Laboratory.
- Preparation and delivery of courses related to the following lab topics:
- Digital Logic Design
- Microprocessors and Interfacing
- Embedded Systems
- Lab instructors might be asked to conduct technical tutorials and/or the teaching of remedial Mathematics courses.
Experience in a range of skills is expected including the following:
- Experience with VHDL, Verilog, and board integration of FGPA and microcontrollers.
- Computer interfacing applications.
- Knowledge in electronics assembly, inspection, testing, and repair.
- Highly familiar with electronic bench instruments (i.e. Oscilloscope, digital multi-meter, logic analyzer, etc.)
- Set-up, calibration, operation, and trouble shooting of precision equipment.
- Electronics soldering and wire harness assembly.
- Electronics and PCB test and troubleshooting.
