Administrative Assistant - Human Resources Department
This is an administrative level position within the Department of Human Resources. The person performing in this position provides administrative support to the Director and assistance to the Human Resources department in various areas of general HR activities and record keeping. Plans and schedules meetings and conferences, prepares correspondence and mailings, maintains files and records, and serves as the initial contact for visitors, employees, and the general public. |

The business program at AUK has previously been organized as a constituent unit of the College of Arts and Sciences, although over half of the AUK student body indicates business as their field of study. | | Intensive English Program - Director
The American University of Kuwait (AUK) is a private university in Kuwait organized on the U.S. model of undergraduate liberal arts education. The medium of instruction is English. The University is accredited by the Council for Private Universities of the Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education. AUK also has a Memorandum of Understanding with Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH and is working towards U.S. accreditation. AUK admitted its first students in September 2004 and currently has exceeding 1,800 students; approximately 400 are presently enrolled in the IEP. The Intensive English Program is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA). |

Preferred candidates will have a solid background in American higher education, including an appropriate terminal degree; teaching experience in a discipline relevant to the academic programs at AUK; and administrative responsibility in college or university level posts. Previous academic experience in the Arab world is desirable but not essential. |
