Student Affairs Communications Officer
Reporting to the Dean of Student Affairs, this position is responsible for the development of effective communication strategies that target AUK students and alums, maintaining communications with the community regarding services and events on and off campus, and highlighting the AUK student and alums involvement in the AUK community and beyond. Working closely with the Office of Public Affairs and the Department of Public Relations and Marketing, the position is responsible for delivering the most appropriate communications to the student body, via social media and official communication networks. The officer is responsible for tracking the latest trends in communications networks maintained by the students in order to assess the needs and concerns of the students, and to facilitate programs that support them, in collaboration with all departments within Student Affairs. The officer also works with the Dean of Student Affairs to plan the two major annual events: Graduation and Orientation.

 

Multimedia Equipment Technician I (One)
Reports to the Director of Information Technology.
Work involves assisting in the design, production, and preparation of audio/visual materials using videography, audio, and video equipment. Uses initiative and independent judgment to solve complex Audio Visual issues.

 

Customer Service Representative
Reports to the Business Development Manager. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing Operations team support and excellent customer service for Arabic and English speaking clients on such topics as program information, course scheduling and registration services. The Customer Service Representative also provides support to Center for Continuing Education Business Relations and Marketing & PR.

 

Student Services Specialist
Reports to the Registrar.
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Coordinator of Student Support, but reporting to the Registrar, this individual provides support in helping students with registration issues, providing students with advice on the University’s policies and procedures, supporting requests from faculty and administrators, and other duties as assigned.

 

Academic Retention Advisor
Reports to the Director of Academic Advising Center (AAC)

Retention Advisor works primarily with students on academic probation, providing academic advising on an ongoing basis throughout the semester, curricular advising during registration periods, and actual course registration for those on final probation. The Academic Retention Advisor collaborates with the Senior Academic Retention Advisor in developing initiatives for more effectively addressing the needs of students on academic probation. S/he also advises regular, undeclared students, and new transfer students of their academic options and plans. The position includes contact with students, staff, and faculty. Employees in this classification may supervise student workers.

 

IT Director
The American University of Kuwait (AUK) is seeking candidates to serve in the capacity of Director of Information Technology (DIT).

The American University of Kuwait was founded in 2004, designed on the American liberal arts college model and seeks to instill the values of liberal education in all of its graduates. AUK has a cooperative agreement with Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire, under which Dartmouth advises and assists AUK and by which students and faculty exchanges are facilitated. The Director will be responsible for all aspects of information technology management and control, including strategic planning, program development and overall coordination of campus information technology resources.

 

Program Coordinator
This is a Full-time, administrative position within AUK's Center for Research in Informatics, Sciences and Engineering (RISE). The Coordinator will work closely with the Director cross-functionally on most of the Center's activities. He/she will be primarily responsible for organizing events like lectures, seminars, and conferences, or, handling administrative issues related to visiting scholars and researchers. The Coordinator will focus on identifying potential grants and industry tenders and work closely with the Center's Faculty Associates and Research Affiliates in various research-related tasks, and will supervise the Center's student workers and interns. He/she will also be expected to maintain regular contact with the Center's local, regional, and international affiliate institutions in the interest of promoting collaborative research and projects.

 

Learning & Development Trainer/Coach (Part time)
Reports to the Training Operations Manager.
CCE is looking to work with all passionate and experienced corporate trainers in Kuwait.

We are looking for outgoing and energetic trainers to work with us on project basis, with strong communication and interpersonal skills to convey expertise in developing training materials and present programs in a stimulating manner using a combination of personality, multimedia and group exercises.
