Campus life is an integral part of a student's University experience at AUK and brings students, faculty, and staff together as one community. Campus life contributes to making the time students spend on campus a continuous and valuable learning experience. Through both classroom learning and extracurricular activities, AUK students learn the critical skills, knowledge and values needed to succeed effectively in today's modern societies in the region and internationally.
Students are encouraged to participate in campus events and to use the resources available to them on Campus to further enhance their educational experience at AUK. For example, the Student Success Center provides a variety of free academic support programs for undergraduate students, and academic advising and counseling services are offered to all AUK students. Most support services are offered to students on a first-come, first-serve basis, although appointments can be scheduled with individual counselors.
The University has a Student Government Association, a student-run newspaper Voice of AUK and scrapbook, intramurals, clubs and organizations. Students are also encouraged to help establish organizations and clubs of interest. Participation in extracurricular activities allows students to learn new skills and discover hidden talents, thus enhancing their educational experience.
