Student Affairs departments are primarily responsible for the social engagement and welfare of the students at the American University of Kuwait. Our goal is to help students see beyond the classroom by encouraging participation in activities and opportunities designed to support one's academic and personal growth and development. The extra-curricular and co-curricular programs and services are designed to enhance self-esteem, self-confidence, self-discovery, and global and social awareness. Activities educate and enhance the development of coordination, teamwork, and leadership skills. The office of Alumni Affairs, Career Services and Wellness, and Student Life strive to engage students in creating positive attitude towards self, the community, and the world. The Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs exists to support the academic mission of AUK and the Division of Student Affairs departments by providing leadership, services, resources, and advocacy. The office focuses on ensuring the delivery of high quality programs grounded in student development theory and implemented by departments that maximize opportunities for students lifelong learning, development, and success.
