“The Hangout” Activities Tent
The Hangout is the official student lounge of the American University of Kuwait. Come out here during your free time to study, hangout, enjoy our services, and take part in the activities that we organize. The Hangout currently offers the following services: Satellite TV, Playstation 3, DVD Player with Home Theater System, Table Tennis, Pool Table, Board Games (Chess, Monopoly, Risk, you name it!), seating areas for hanging out and relaxing when not in class!!!
Additionally, The Hangout organizes many activities each semester, these include:
- Big Day Out – An outdoor event where we take our equipment outside and feature special activities

Leadership & Activities Passport
All AUK students are eligible to collect a Leadership and Activities Passport from the Office of Student Life. This passport enables them to collect stamps as points and keep a record of the modules they have attended throughout the year. Programs such as L.E.A.D. at AUK workshops and certain Student Life events qualify to be included in the Activities Passport and students attending these events are eligible to get their passports stamped and earn points. For an event to be included it should have been advertised as such.
All L.E.A.D. at AUK programs are stamped with a L.E.A.D at AUK stamp, which also contains the date. All activities events are stamped with an Activity stamp which is also dated.
