Faculty Services
Course Reserves: The Library places all textbooks on reserve. If you’d like to place additional materials on reserve, please contact the Library Administrative Assistant.
Materials Requests: For book and multimedia orders, kindly submit the Materials Purchase Request form, or contact the Collection Development Librarian.
Document Supply: Library staff will obtain journal articles which are required by faculty members but are not held within the library’s collections. For article requests, please email a Reference Librarian or use the Materials Purchase Request form.
Instruction Services: Librarians provide library sessions customized for your course. To request an instruction session, submit the Library Instruction Request Form.
Syllabus Services: Librarians assist faculty and instructors with the creation of an electronic reading list for the syllabus/Moodle to make extended readings and other course materials available to students.
Instructors are encouraged to send their syllabi or course readings lists to Reference Librarians who will work to locate library resources such as articles, media, e-books, and make them easily available to students.
Consider the following when creating your syllabus or Moodle course:
- Link to library resources and readings (journal articles, e-books, online videos, etc.) in your course Moodle page for easy access for all students.
- Link to the relevant subject guide. Students will find comprehensive resources related to the course subject.
- Include a statement about the library in the course syllabi

The AUK Library provides you with the necessary support to conduct research and find additional readings for your class work. Need to research but don’t know where to start? Not sure how to find and use online resources (books, data, articles...etc.)? Not sure how to cite a source or develop a reference list? Ask a librarian! Research help is available through email, MS Teams, Zoom.
