About ORG

The Office of Research and Grants aims to realize the potential of AUK as a research institution as well as manage and streamline the University’s research and scholarly activities by funding research, conducting workshops and outreach for collaboration with academia and industry.

Major operations at the Office of Research and Grants are performed through its standing committees. The Office maintains two main committees:

Committee on Research and Grants (CRG): The Committee on Research and Grants is established to encourage and support scholarship, original research, creative work reflective inquiry, and knowledge translation by members of the faculty.

Institutional Review Board (IRB):
The AUK Institutional Review Board (IRB) is charged with ethical aspects of research proposals such as reviewing, approving/disapproving, as well as monitoring research involving human participants. The establishment of the committee is to review and oversee all ethical aspects of research to ensure its conformance to the international standards.

IRB will be responsible for the training and certification of any faculty whose research involves human subjects, as this is now required and is funded by AUK.
