Craig Loomis
Associate Professor of English Language and Literature
Craig Loomis is an associate professor of English. He completed doctoral work at the University of Toledo, 1992 with a dissertation entitled "The Alluring Orient: The West and Sexual Myth in the Modern Hong Kong Novel." His teaching interests are creative writing, the short story, twentieth-century American literature, and Asian literatures. He has published short fiction in such literary journals as The Iowa Review, The Colorado Review, The Prague Revue, The Rambler, Quarterly West, The Maryland Review, The Berkeley Review, the Evansville Review, and Karamu. He short story collection The Salmiya Collection: Stories of the Life and Times of Modern Kuwait was published 2013. In October 2021 his novel This is a Chair: A Lyrical Tale of Life, Death and Other Curriculum Challenges was published.
