Yvonne Hodnett is an instructor in the Intensive English Program at the American University of Kuwait. Yvonne has a Master of Arts (M.A.) in TESOL. She has extensive experience teaching in English language programs in Ireland and Kuwait. Additionally, she has had a number of extended roles in leadership positions in course design and curriculum planning. In 2016, the English Language Program at the Australian College of Kuwait received the prestigious Eaquals Accreditation under her project leadership. Currently, she is working on her doctoral thesis in applied linguistics at the University of Limerick. Her research interests include translanguaging, funds of identity, dialogical teaching, and sociocultural approaches in second language acquisition.
