Mrs. Zahra Barez is a full-time instructor in the Intensive English Program. She joined the American University of Kuwait (AUK) in August 2019. Before joining AUK, Mrs. Barez was an English language instructor at Kuwait University since 1984. During her tenure at Kuwait University, she taught courses in the College of Arts, Engineering, Education, and Law and served as the department coordinator at the College of Education. In addition, she served as an instructor of English language at the Deanship of Community Service & Continuing Education at the University and a TOEFL Instructor. Prior to her tenure at Kuwait University, she was an English language instructor at the Gifted and Talented Institute of Tehran, in Tehran, Iran. Mrs. Barez received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tehran, Iran, and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Southern California.
