Hussain Alsarraf

Assistant Professor of Physics

Dr. Hussain Alsarraf is an assistant professor of physics at the department of mathematics
and natural sciences. Dr. Hussain earned his B.S and M.S from Creighton University,
Omaha, Nebraska, USA, and his Ph.D from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA in 2013.
His primary research interests are in the fields of atmospheric physics, remote sensing,
atmospheric modeling, and climate change. His recent project is working with NASA,
and the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science in evaluating the Soil Moisture
Active Passive NASA Satellite over Kuwait, and comparing the SMAP NASA satellite
with climate modeling. Dr. Alsarraf is also involved with the Kuwait Cub Sat group.
