Samer Assaf

Assistant Professor of Mathematics

Dr. Samer Assaf joined the American University of Kuwait as an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Dr. Assaf received his Ph.D. from the University of Saskatchewan-Canada, his M.S. from the Notre Dame University-Louaize, and his B.S. in Mathematics from the Lebanese University. 
  
As an educator, Dr. Assaf has more than a decade of teaching experience under his belt ranging from middle school all the way to university-level and spanning across Lebanese, French, American, Canadian, and British curricula. 
  
Dr. Assaf’s research interest revolves around the topological constructs of generalized metrics and fixed-point theorems, graph theory and non-standard analysis. He aims to create new tools that can be used in DNA comparison, digital correction, and video streaming.
