Khalid Sultan

Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering

Dr. Khalid Sultan is an assistant professor of computer engineering at the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the American University of Kuwait (AUK). He obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada in 2007 and 2015, respectively. Before joining AUK, Dr. Sultan had worked as an assistant professor at the University of Hail in Saudi Arabia for three years. Before that, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering (CIISE), Montreal, Canada. Dr. Sultan is currently serving as a reviewer, track chair, and program committee member for several peer-reviewed journals and prestigious international conferences. He has also served as a consultant for some projects with the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies at Umm Al-Qura University, KSA. His research interests include mobile computing, multi-agent systems, game theory, formal verification (model checking), and software engineering.
