Khalid Sultan

Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering

Dr. Khalid Sultan joined the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at American University of Kuwait (AUK) as an assistant professor of computer engineering in 2019. He obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada in 2007 and 2015, respectively. Before joining AUK, Dr. Sultan worked as an assistant professor of computer engineering at University of Hail (UoH) in Saudi Arabia for three years. Before that, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering CIISE (Montreal, Canada) for two years. Dr. Sultan is currently serving as a reviewer, track chair, and program committee member for several peer-reviewed journals and prestigious international conferences. He has also served as a consultant for some projects with the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies at Umm Al-Qura University (Makkah, KSA). His research interests include, but are not limited to, mobile computing, multi-agent systems, game theory, formal verification (model checking), network security, and software engineering.
