Faculty Positions - College of Business & Economics

1) Cover letter detailing the candidate’s specific interest in AUK, and how the candidate’s past experiences provide a suitable basis for performance in the position for which s/he is applying.
2) A current CV
3) Statements on teaching goals and philosophy, research, and service.
4) Copies of teaching evaluations if available and letters of reference.
5) The names and addresses, both electronic and postal, of three referees.
6) Two recent publications or two writing samples.

Finance (Position Code No. 21-1401-AUKWEB 10): Rank assistant professor or higher. 

The College of Business and Economics is seeking to fill a position in finance at the rank of an assistant professor or higher. A Ph.D. in finance from a reputable university with an accredited business program is required. A good teaching record and evidence of research accomplishments including publications in peer-reviewed journals are desirable. Applicants should ideally have relevant experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses within the context of a liberal arts education. The position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will assist the College in achieving its mission and vision by engaging students in holistic development. Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate simulation usage and a history of high-quality teaching outcomes regarding course delivery, student learning, grading discipline, and student perception and engagement. Currently, the successful candidate will teach a range of undergraduate courses in investment and security analysis, portfolio management, international finance, financial management, corporate finance, and introductory economics courses. Faculty responsibilities include teaching, research, student advising, and service to the Department, College, University, and honoring office hours. Individuals who consider themselves role models in scholarship together with an ability to advance teaching and learning through technology are encouraged to apply. 

Human Resource Management (Position Code No. 21-1701-AUKWEB 10): Rank assistant professor or higher. 

The College of Business and Economics is seeking to fill a position in human resource management. Ph.D. holders from a reputable university with an accredited business program are required to apply. A good teaching record and evidence of research accomplishments including publications in peer-reviewed journals are desirable. Applicants should ideally have relevant experience in teaching undergraduate level courses within the context of a liberal arts education. The position requires energetic and enthusiastic individuals who will assist the College in achieving its mission and vision by engaging students in holistic development. The College of Business and Economics is seeking to fill a position in accounting at the rank of an assistant professor or higher. A Ph.D. in accounting from a reputable university with an accredited business program is required. A good teaching record and evidence of research accomplishments including publications in peer-reviewed journals are desirable. Applicants should ideally have relevant experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses within the context of a liberal arts education. The position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will assist the College in achieving its mission and vision by engaging students in holistic development. Marketing (Position Code No. 21-1301-AUKWEB 10): Rank assistant professor or higher. 

The College of Business and Economics is seeking to fill a position in marketing at the rank of an assistant professor or higher. Candidates with a Ph.D. in Marketing from a reputable university with an accredited business program are required to apply. A good teaching record and evidence of research accomplishments including publications in peer-reviewed journals are desirable. Applicants should ideally have relevant experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses within the context of a liberal arts education. The position requires energetic and enthusiastic individuals who will assist the College in achieving its mission and vision by engaging students in holistic development. Economics (Position Code No. 21-1501-AUKWEB 10): Rank assistant professor or higher. 

The College of Business and Economics is seeking to fill a position in economics at the rank of an assistant professor or higher to teach courses within its undergraduate business programs with an expected start date of August 2022. Courses in these programs include principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics, intermediate microeconomics, intermediate macroeconomics, international economics and finance, among others. We seek an individual who will be able to teach existing, as well as new courses. The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in economics and experience teaching at the undergraduate level and will be expected to play a full role in curriculum development, student advisement, and student events in addition to the primary role of teaching undergraduate level courses. Candidates are also expected to maintain an active research agenda. The rank of the position will be dependent upon experience and qualifications.
