Ahmed Meiloud

Assistant Professor of Near Eastern Studies

Ahmed Meiloud is an assistant professor of Middle Eastern studies in the Department of Arabic and Foreign Languages. Dr. Meiloud received an M.A. in American studies from the University of Wyoming in 2008, an M.A. in near Eastern studies from the University of Arizona in 2011, and a Ph.D. in Middle Eastern and North African Studies from the University of Arizona in 2017. Before his current tenure at AUK, Dr. Meiloud taught at the College of William and Mary, Virginia Commonwealth University, and the University of Arizona. His research and writing interests include Islamic law, modern Arab history, and the resurgence of religious movements in the Middle East.
