Kameleddine Benameur

Assistant Professor of Accounting

Dr. Kameleddine Benameur is a full-time assistant professor of accounting, in the College of Business and Economics and the American University of Kuwait. He obtained his Ph.D. in Business Administration: Accounting Information Systems, from the Lebow College of Business, Drexel University, Pennsylvania, USA. He taught at the University of Quebec in Montreal from 2000-2005. Once in Kuwait, he joined GUST from 2005 until 2023 where he taught financial and managerial accounting, professional accounting research, auditing, accounting information systems, intermediate accounting, and other related courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Benameur joined the American University of Kuwait in 2023 where he now teaches advanced accounting courses. He participated in several international conferences and is a member of DSI, IMA and ACFAS. His research interests include Sustainability Reporting, Accounting Information Systems, Finance Training Management and Strategic Consulting. In addition, as an administrator, he represented GUST in different capacities and positions both on the academic and support services sides. He worked formerly in Canada in the Film industry where he oversaw the financing of several motion pictures with leading financial institutions such as BNP Paribas, the Royal Bank of Canada and TD Canada Trust. He has been involved with the community at different levels since his arrival in Kuwait in 2005.
