Mohamed Ali

Assistant Professor of Accounting & Finance

Dr. Mohamed Ali taught various courses in Kuwait, covering a wide spectrum of finance-related subjects and some accounting. Additionally, he had the opportunity to teach a master's level course in UK university for two semesters. He’s used various databases to research and develop papers, often utilizing statistical software such as SATA. He played a significant role in establishing the Executive Education Committee and served as the committee head for a semester, where they implemented programs related to digital transformation and finance for non-financial managers. Dr. Ali also had the privilege of mentoring teams in local and regional competitions, ranging from the CFA team to entrepreneurial projects. Furthermore, he updated portions of the Entrepreneurial Senior Project course to align with financial and local demands, including interviewing local industry experts to guide students in their coursework. He designed various new courses, including the Capstone in Finance and FinTech courses, in line with Kuwait's 2035 vision for a new Kuwait. He organized seminars with colleagues for the Islamic finance club and provided workshops to leading banks in Kuwait. His contributions were recognized with the most outstanding faculty in service award for three consecutive years. Finally, Dr. Ali worked closely with top management on mergers and acquisitions involving companies in the MENA region, each with a net worth exceeding $50 million, and he was responsible for preparing all the financial-related modules and reports to facilitate a smooth transition period.
