Non-Degree Students

  1. May take a maximum of 12 undergraduate credits.
  2. Must have a high school certificate or higher level of education recognized by the Ministry of Education in the State of Kuwait.
  3. Are subject to pre- and co-requisite requirements as defined in the AUK catalog.
  4. Are held to the same academic and student code of conduct standards as degree-seeking students.
  5. Provide evidence of English Proficiency Requirement (see English Language proficiency requirements above).
  6. Copy of civil ID/Passport and personal photo
  7. Submit complete application form with non-refundable fee
  8. Official transcript(s) of college-level courses attempted for each college/university attended.

To apply for degree-seeking status, a non-degree student must meet all AUK undergraduate admission requirements for the semester of intended admission.

All application materials and supporting documents must be sent to the Office of Admissions.

Students can apply a maximum of 12 earned credit hours with a minimum grade of C in a non-degree status at AUK toward a degree program.

If non-degree students earn a GPA below 2.0 while at AUK, then they are subject to the university Academic Probation and Dismissal policies. So, non-degree students cannot transfer into the university until all holds are cleared.
