Career Development
The Office of Alumni Affairs and Career Development provide solution-focused support for current students and alumni. All AUK students/alumni are eligible for free career guidance. If students/alumni need assistance, they can request a meeting with the career coordinators. The following services are available:
AACD services for careers include:

• Cover letter critiques
• Career counseling and assessment tools
• Information about local employers
• On-campus interview coordination
• Job/internship search assistance
• Access to job postings
• Access to employer's database
• Career-related workshops
AACD services for graduate school include:
• Assistance with graduate school applications
• Personal statement reviews
• Resume/CV critiques
• Mock interviews
AUK students/alumni can explore different occupations and locate jobs/internships with potential employers and/or graduate school opportunities at AUK Fairs.
This program provides students with an opportunity to demonstrate their capacity for leadership, teamwork, and business activity in the context of work experience. AACD and the College of Business and Economics have collaborated on resume/interview skill workshops for the Internship Program, making it mandatory for interning students to attend prior to applying for an internship. These workshops are the first step to help prepare interns enter the business world. The workshops are conducted either by AACD staff or by prospective employers.
AUK students have had opportunities to intern in organizations such as NBK, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Al Ahli United Bank, Eminds Project Management, Baker Tilly, Grant Thornton, Alghanim Industries, RSM Al Bazie, Gulf Bank, and many more.
SPHERE – Career & Internship Newsletter
SPHERE, AACD’s in-house career newsletter, was launched with the primary goal of sharing valuable career-related insights, articles, and information about the various majors offered at AUK, along with their related career pathways. Contributions from faculty, students, alumni, international students, and industry leaders provide insights into the collaborations and programs they are involved in, highlighting emerging career opportunities.
