Nadim Matta
Lecturer in Graphic Design
Mr. Nadim Matta holds a BA degree in graphic design from Notre Dame University (1997) and an MA in typographic studies from the London College of Printing (1999). He is currently pursuing his PhD studies at Ulster University (2015) and expected to finish his degree in 2021. Mr. Matta has been involved in teaching most of the graphic design courses across the curricula and his current research interest lies in the impact of the graphic language on cultural identity and the use of vernacular in design. Mr. Matta has served as a jury member on several competitions, lastly on the ISTD international student assessment scheme from 2015 until today, with the assessment taking place in London, Bristol, Nottingham, Cardiff, and several other places. He joined AUK in August 2021, having previously taught since March 2000 at Notre Dame University-Louaize, Lebanon, where he was appointed chairperson of the Design Department from 2008 till 2011 and 2017 till 2019.
