Aly Mansour

Associate Professor of Management

Dr. Aly earned his BS in physics and Electrical Engineering in 1975 from AUC (American University in Cairo), and went on to earn his MS and doctorate degrees in 1983 and 1994 respectively, from GWU (George Washington University) in Washington, DC, USA.
He served at the Egyptian Foreign Service as a diplomatic attache for almost 20 years, after which he chose to be an educator and academician instead. Dr. Aly taught in several universities in the States such as: GWU, UDC, ODU, BSU, and UMUC. He also taught as a visiting professor in Cairo for one semester in 1996. 
 
While studying at GWU, in order to finance his doctorate program, he worked as a simulation engineer with ABB in New Jersey, and Power Safety International in Virginia. As of 2009, he has been teaching at AUK (American University of Kuwait) as an associate professor of management. His research interests are in the fields of environmental management, strategic and financial management, and Islamic business ethics. He plans to dedicate most of his time in the future to publish in those fields.
