Dr. Marwa Sharawi is a visiting assistant professor in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the American University of Kuwait (AUK). She obtained her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in information technology from the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Cairo University, Egypt. She served as the program coordinator of the Faculty of Computer Studies at Arab Open University (AOU), Egypt branch. She is the organization committee chair for IEEE EDUCON 2023. Her research interests include topological optimization of wireless sensor networks, machine learning for feature selection, meta-heuristics, data mining, nature-inspired optimization, and data communications.
