AUK Athletics Kicks Off 2024-2025 Season with KIPCO as Official Sponsor
AUK hosted a ceremony to launch the 2024-2025 athletics season. This year’s athletic teams are proudly sponsored by KIPCO. Hosted by the Office of Student Life, the event brought together the AUK sports community to celebrate the start of the new season and unveil new team uniforms designed by Errea.
The celebration introduced AUK’s teams for both the fall and spring semesters, including women’s and men’s basketball, women’s and men’s soccer, volleyball, and futsal. A special highlight was the induction of three exceptional athletes into the Athletics Hall of Fame: Dana Ben Salama (women’s volleyball), and Majed Abu Ghaith and Abdulwahab Al Ahmad (men’s basketball).
Commenting on their sponsorship of the University’s athletics team, Ms. Eman Al Awadhi, KIPCO’s Group Senior Vice President – Corporate Communications & Investor Relations, said, “We are delighted to sponsor AUK's athletics teams, acknowledging the significant impact of sports on physical and mental health. Supporting these talented youth shape their sports futures and encourages an active lifestyle that benefits everyone.
