AUK improves wireless on Campus

In March 2009, the Information Technology Department at AUK has completed a project that provides full wireless coverage across campus. The project consisted of redeploying the existing 26 access points and adding 42 access points to ensure that all parts of campus, indoors and outdoors are covered.

The coverage allows users to access the internet via the sponsored 'Zajil' internet connection from the list of available WI-FI networks. Once the network is selected, the internet browser will open to 'Zajil's' welcome page, where a click on 'connect' will establish an internet connection for one hour at a time.
