AUK Revolutionizes Sustainable Architecture: Generic Building Attains Prestigious LEED Gold Certification

AUK Generic building has been awarded the highly esteemed LEED Gold certification under the LEED v4.1 O+M: EB (Operations + Maintenance: Existing Buildings) rating system. AUK is the first university in Kuwait to attain this certification, marking a milestone in the institution's journey towards responsible and sustainable development.  
 
The LEED v4.1 O+M: EB rating system is a bold stride towards reducing environmental impact. This recognition underscores the Generic Building's outstanding energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and overall environmental performance. 
 
Mayce El Mostafa, director of the AUK Campus Services Department, commented on this milestone, “This is truly a historic moment in our journey towards a greener and more sustainable future. It is indeed a source of pride that AUK is the first university in Kuwait to attain the LEED Gold Certification under LEED v4.1 O+M: EB., a landmark achievement that positions us at the forefront of sustainable development in the region.
