AUK Students Participate in the NSSE Survey

The American University of Kuwait (AUK) is one of the latest universities to join in administering the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). The NSSE is an annual survey conducted at colleges and universities to gauge students' participation in the programs and activities offered within the institutions created to promote academic and personal development. More than 400 participating 4-year universities from around the world participate each year.

To encourage student participation, the AUK Bookstore, which is managed by Growmore, offered an opportunity for each participant of the survey to enter a draw to win vouchers worth up to KD 50. The survey, which was available to all eligible undergraduate students, saw a participation rate of 42.9% in its first year. The NSSE is administered annually via e-mail.

The NSSE does not assess student learning directly, but the results of the survey help identify areas where colleges and universities can improve the students' overall undergraduate experience.
