Dr. Georges Chedid Appointed as MENASA Board Member

AUK Counseling Center director, Dr. Georges Chedid, has been appointed as a member of the MENASA Board within the Professional Development team, where he will assume the pivotal role of Multaqa Webinar Coordinator. 

NASPA, a globally recognized association that supports a network of 15,000 professionals and 1,200 institutions, plays a pivotal role in connecting and enhancing the capabilities of student affairs professionals. The MENASA region (The Middle East, North Africa and South Asia), is characterized by its diverse higher education landscape, languages, and cultures. 

In his new role as the Multaqa Webinar Coordinator within the MENASA NASPA Board, Dr. Georges Chedid will work alongside other dedicated professionals to develop, enhance, and expand connections within the region. 

As an AUK community member, Dr. Chedid's dedication to advancing student affairs practices that align with regional cultural norms and understandings mirrors AUK's ethos of promoting a diverse and inclusive educational environment.

Commenting on this achievement, Dr. Chedid stated, “I’m so proud that I’ve been appointed as a MENASA NASPA Board member and to carry the responsibility to provide opportunities for professional development to a passionate and diverse community of professionals and faculty dedicated to fulfilling the promise of higher education for every student. Being able to be an integral part of this team has given me a great sense of achievement allowing me to give back to the student affairs community and expand my horizons.”
