Dr. Iyad Abu Doush Invited to Present Pioneering Research at IntelliSys 2023
AUK Office of Research and Grants (ORG) director, Dr. Iyad Abu Doush, was recently invited by Elsevier to attend the Intelligent Systems Conference (IntelliSys) 2023. Held in Amsterdam, this prestigious international conference brought together researchers from 50 countries to explore the latest advancements in intelligent systems.
Dr. Abu Doush participated in various poster presentations, fostering dynamic discussions on data science and deep learning techniques with his fellow researchers. Some of these topics included weather-based power outage prediction, identifying and mitigating bias in machine learning, and unmanned ground vehicle navigation using artificial neural networks.
Dr. Abu Doush also presented his groundbreaking research, titled "Improving Neural Network using Jaya Algorithm with Opposite Learning for Air Quality Prediction." This pioneering work was a collaborative effort involving Dr. Ahmad Alsaber, AUK assistant professor of management; Dr. Khalid Sultan, AUK assistant professor of computer engineering; and Ms. Afsah Abdullah, ORG research assistant; and Dr. Dhari Alkandari from Kuwait University.
With the forthcoming publication of conference proceedings by Springer, Dr. Abu Doush’s contributions promise to leave a lasting imprint on intelligent systems research. This engagement serves as a testament to AUK’s unwavering dedication to advancing pioneering research and upholding the highest standards of academic excellence.
