Mastering Data Science for Business Success: Insights from an AUK Workshop

The Office of Research and Grants (ORG) at AUK hosted a workshop called, Data Science Mastery: Navigating Business Transformation Strategies in the auditorium. Dr. Haidar AlMohri, head of the Data Science and Analytics Department at Gulf Bank in Kuwait, presented the seminar.

Covering the importance of data science in today's business landscape, Dr. AlMohri explained key concepts such as exploratory data analysis and project stages. He also shared insights into overcoming challenges in data science projects. Real-world case studies illustrated how data science benefits various business sectors like marketing, finance, and logistics.

Of equal importance, he examined the basics of data science, the various applications of data science in business, and the benefits of a data scientist, such as improved strategic predictive analysis and optimized operations. Attendees learned about the basics, applications, and advantages of using data strategically, with a focus on prediction accuracy, improving operations, and customer-centric approaches.
