CCE Holds an Interactive Staff Retreat

As part of a retreat held by the Center for Continuing Education (CCE) in May to celebrate the conclusion of a successful year, CCE contacted Blank Hunts, an experiential entertainment company, and asked them to create a team-strengthening activity for the staff to participate in. This came in the form of treasure hunt that incorporated several challenges in which the participants had the opportunity to practice and apply their skills in leadership, trust, communication, decision making and teamwork.

The treasure hunt took place in and around 360 Mall. At each location, the participants performed challenges, such as playing a round of dominos while blindfolded, and were put in situations that required them to depend on each other to complete certain tasks. There were a total of nine challenges prepared by Blank Hunts that the participants found to be interactive, educational and entertaining. "I had a blast! I have learned so much about my colleagues, and above all, I have learned that no single person is as smart/strong as a group of people working together," said Nour S. Jaibat, Customer Service Representative at CCE.

Buthaina Alkhubaizi, Director of CCE, explained that such activities help improve productivity and enhance the relationships between the coworkers, helping them create strong cooperative bonds. CCE plans to hold more staff retreats in the future that incorporate different themes while keeping staff members engaged through educational and entertaining activities.
