AUK Welcomes 400 Freshmen at Fall 2026 Orientation

The American University of Kuwait (AUK) welcomed 400 freshmen to its Fall 2026 Orientation on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The event introduced students to the university community, helping them explore their academic interests, familiarize themselves with campus, and learn about the services available to support their university journey.

The program featured faculty and alumni sessions covering different majors, giving students the opportunity to attend sessions aligned with their interests. These discussions offered a chance to connect with faculty members and alumni, ask questions about their chosen fields, and gain insight into academic pathways and experiences beyond graduation.

Students also participated in campus tours to become familiar with university facilities and key locations. Throughout the day, they met staff members from different departments to learn about student services and understand where to seek guidance and support.

“Orientation marks the beginning of an exciting journey for our students, and we want every freshman to feel welcomed, supported, and ready to take an active role in university life,” said Mr. Omar Mehdi, Dean of Student Affairs. “By connecting students with faculty, alumni, and staff, we help them build relationships and discover the resources that will support their growth throughout their time at AUK.”

Fall 2026 Orientation brought together academic exploration and opportunities for connection, helping incoming students begin their first semester with confidence and a sense of belonging to the AUK community.
